We are seeking nominations for individual members of the new Minister’s Recreational Fishing Advisory Council.

What is being decided?

The Minister’s Recreational Fishing Advisory Council (the Council) is established as an advisory group to directly engage with the Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development on recreational fishing issues.

The Council will provide feedback and advice to government on big picture recreational fishing issues and initiatives, as well as any other matter referred to the Council by the Minister.

Get involved

Nominations are now open for recreational fishers interested in one of the five individual membership positions on the Minister’s Recreational Fishing Advisory Council.

Nominations close at 12pm 11 February 2019.

If you would like to nominate, please read the candidate handbook then fill out your form here.

Once the nominations have been received, a Nominations Panel established by the Minister will evaluate whether any of the nominations are void for being inconsistent with the candidate handbook.  All valid nominations will be transferred to the voting process.

All South Australian recreational fishers will then be invited to vote for their preferred representatives.
