Have your say on the proposed changes to the Management Plan for Recreational Fishing in South Australia.
What’s being decided?
The revised Management Plan for Recreational Fishing in South Australia, is now available for comment. Key changes acknowledge the role of the Minister’s Recreational Fishing Advisory Council operating as the peak advisory body for recreational fishing and include an updated harvest strategy.
Recreational fishing is an important aspect of social, cultural and economic life in South Australia. It generates jobs and economic activity in metropolitan and regional areas across the State.
The Minister’s Recreational Fishing Advisory Council (MRFAC) was established in 2019 to improve the communication between recreational fishers and government. It provides advice to government on development and policy issues and initiatives that impact the recreational fishing community of South Australia.
We want your feedback on the proposed changes to the management plan. We have created a summary of changes in a Draft Management Plan: Report on Review to outline the changes made to the draft plan.
How can your feedback influence the decision?
Your feedback will be considered by PIRSA and the Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development to inform the development of the final version of the plan.
