What’s being decided?

We have developed a draft Adelaide Botanic Garden Masterplan 2020 which outlines future upgrades to infrastructure that will improve visitor experience while maintaining the site for horticultural excellence in growing, displaying and conserving plants.

The enhancements outlined in the Masterplan 2020 can be categorised under these 7 topics:

• integration with the new, global innovation precinct at Lot Fourteen
• accommodation review
• water and waterway management
• collections and thematic landscape development
• building management
• site infrastructure management
• visitor experience and event management.

What are the next steps?

The final Adelaide Botanic Garden Masterplan 2020 will be presented to the Minister for Environment and Water for endorsement.

The Masterplan 2020 will be publicly available on this website and the Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium website. It will outline what we heard and how your views helped shape the approved changes.
