First appointments to Minister's Recreational Fishing Advisory Council

Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development Tim Whetstone has finalised four organisational appointments to the Minister’s Recreational Fishing Advisory Council, following assessment by a nominations panel.

These members have been selected from nominations received from FishinSA, RecFish SA and the South Australian Fishing Alliance. These members have been selected based on their ability to perform all duties associated with their position diligently, impartially, conscientiously, in a civil manner and to the best of their ability.

The members are:

Graham Keegan, South Australian Fishing Alliance member
Ian Fitzgerald, RecFish SA member
John Thomas, FishinSA member
Tracey Tito, FishinSA member.

The Council will provide feedback and advice to government on important recreational fishing issues and initiatives.

In addition to the organisational representatives, there will be five individual member positions on the Council for those with expertise in recreational fishing. To nominate for one of the five individual member positions available or for more information visit www.yourSAy.sa.gov.au/fishing.

Public voting to select the five individual candidates will occur between 18 February and 18 March, 2019.
